My Story

April 2020

“Tell me, what is your definition of time?” I was taken aback. He asked again, “What is your definition of time?” In that moment, I realized the first psychologist had touched on something significant. I could tell time, but I was unaware of how profoundly it influenced my actions, or more accurately, the tasks I failed to complete. I never had a grasp on how long a task would take, unless I was intensely focused and able to finish what captured my interest. That was around 12 years ago.

Since that time, I’ve consulted various psychologists, psychiatrists, and neurologists. They’ve tried different approaches with me, from medications to uncovering aspects of my past, among other strategies. But it was about 10 years ago when I received a diagnosis of ADHD with underlying depression. I thought, “Great, now I understand what I’m facing.” Identifying the issue certainly makes it easier to address.

Years ago, I faced challenges with incomplete projects, self-esteem issues, and a pervasive feeling that something wasn’t right. Following my diagnosis, I’ve read numerous books on ADHD and have managed to finish several. Another habit of mine is accumulating extensive research on subjects that catch my interest, often to the point of feeling swamped by the information and setting it aside for later. Does this resonate with anyone?

In the past five years, I’ve implemented various processes and systems to better manage life with ADHD. I’ve also ventured into several side businesses. After an honorable discharge from the US Navy, I dedicated 20 years to the private financial sector. The subsequent 17 years were spent in the public financial sector, leading and mentoring teams and individuals.

Currently, I lead a business and life coaching firm tailored for individuals with ADHD and those seeking guidance. My core values are honesty, integrity, and prioritizing my clients’ best interests. My goal is to assist individuals with ADHD in achieving their aspirations of business and life management.

Let me help you on that journey.
